Introduction
Leather Seal Concentrate™ (LSC™) a highly concentrated fire retardant for use in leather and leather type products. Upon exposure to heat and flame, the proprietary active ingredients contribute to flame resistance by melting below flaming temperatures and converting the substrate to non-flammable carbon char.
Our fire-retardant spray for leather is tested to meet stringent safety standards. This product increases the fire resistance of your leather goods, delaying ignition and spread of flames, thereby providing valuable time for evacuation and firefighting measures. Investing in this fire-retardant spray ensures you can prioritize the safety of your belongings and, more importantly, your life.
Treated leather will resist ignition and flameless combustion (afterglow) will be substantially reduced along smoke evolution. Leather Seal Concentrate™ is highly penetrating and can be applied during various stages of leather manufacturing, including finishing, dry milling and retaining. It is water based, has low toxicity, and contains no VOCs or petroleum derivatives. There are no polybrominated diphenyl ethers (PDBE’s) or other restricted compounds in the composition.
Leather properly treated with Leather Seal Concentrate™ has met the following flame retardant requirements: Federal Aviation Administration Regulations for Compartment Interiors; National Highway Traffic Safety Administration Motor Vehicle Safety Standard No. 302; State of California Department of Consumer Affairs Bureau of Home Furnishings and Thermal Insulation Technical Bulletin 117. It also is rated “Class I” according to the Upholstered Furniture Action Council’s Fabric Classification Test Method.

IS LEATHER SEAL CONCENTRATE™ SAFE?
Leather Seal Concentrate™ contains no VOCs, PBDEs, halocarbons, petroleum
derivatives, or other restricted ingredients.
DOES LEATHER SEAL CONCENTRATE™ PROTECT THE LEATHER FROM FIRE/ HEAT DAMAGE?
NO. It works by converting the leather to a carbon char, which slows or prevents
the propagation of the flame. This, in turn, greatly reducing smoke generation. It
will limit the flame spread, but will not protect the leather directly exposed to the
