Fabric Seal C

Introduction

We proudly present the Fabric Seal C, a concentrated fire-retardant treatment for fabric that offers exceptional protection. This advanced formula is specifically designed to imbue fabrics with superior fire-resistant properties, making it an ideal solution for a wide range of applications. Fabric Seal C stands out in its ability to effectively safeguard materials without compromising the fabric’s quality or appearance.

Fabric Seal C™ is water-borne mix of proprietary ingredients, which forms a carbon char when the treated fabric is exposed to fire. Once the carbon char is formed there will be minimal flame propagation, smoke evolution or afterglow. This concentrated flame-resistant fabric treatment is designed for interior use only.

Application Instructions

Fabric Seal C™ is a highly concentrated version of the Fabric Seal products, designed for shipping savings or commercial applications. Most fabrics, when properly treated with the correct Fabric Seal dilution can pass the NFPA 701, FAR 25.853, British Standards 5852 (1,2), UFAC. Fabric Seal™ Fire Retardants can be applied via Spray, Dipping or Machine application. The product must penetrate the fabric and be allowed to thoroughly dry to be effective. The recommended coverage rate is 300 ft2 per gallon after proper dilution. Most fabrics properly treated with this product will meet the NFPA 701 requirements. It is recommended that a small sample be tested for penetration and color fastness before application. Excess material should be removed by mechanical action (wringing or spin cycle). Then simply allow to air dry or force dry with a mechanical dryer. This product may be used on: carpet, draperies, furniture, wall coverings, rayon, polyester, most synthetics and blends. Fabric Seal™ Fire Retardants contain watersoluble ingredients that can be removed by exposure to significant amounts of water during cleaning. It is recommended that the fabric be re-treated with Fabric Seal™ after dry cleaning three times or one machine washing. Note: Some stiffening of the treated fabrics may occur, especially with heavier treatments. It is the end users responsibility to find the optimal degree of fire retardancy vs. any stiffening for their application.

FAB

Fire Retardant Features and Technical Characteristics

Water-based fire retardant penetrant.
Designed for use on most types of natural or synthetic fabrics including cotton and many blends.  Colorless, non-staining, inert, non-conductive, odorless, and neutrally charged.
The proprietary active ingredients of these products contribute to flame resistance by melting below flaming temperatures and then re-solidifying into a crystalline form of a carbon (char) that acts as a barrier between the fabric surface and the flame.

Fire Retardant Advantages and Performance Characteristics

Consists of aqueous solutions containing a blend of proprietary active ingredients.
No polybrominated diphenyl ethers are in the composition.
Decrease fire and smoke evolution, providing resistance to flameless combustion, referred to as afterglow.
Properly applied to fabrics, when exposed to heat and flame, FS-C™ forms a carbon char that resists fire, heat, and smoke.

Fire Retardant Benefits

Free of PBDE’s and Non-Toxic.
Non-staining.
Reduces the effect of Heat and Smoke without Flame propagation.
Easy and Flexible Product Applications.
No Halogen Donor Required.
